MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 10, 2005
The City Council of the City of Hunters Creek Village, Texas convened in special session at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2005, at City Hall, #1 Hunters Creek Place, Hunters Creek Village, Texas.

With a quorum of the Council Members present, Mayor Reichek called the session to order at 6:30 p.m.
Discussion and possible action to consider an ordinance adopting the budget for fiscal year 2006.
A motion was made by Councilmember Casper with a second by Councilmember Burck to approve Ordinance No. 650 adopting the budget for 2006 as presented. Under discussion Councilmember Shannon clarified for the record that the accrued account payables at 12/31/04 in fund balance was reflected in the expenditures for 2005 and were shown as expended in the year-to-date actual. The motion carried with Council voting five (5) for and none (0) opposed.
Discussion and possible action to approve a motion to set the tax rate for Debt Service.
A motion was made by Councilmember Cokinos with a second by Councilmember Casper to adopt a tax rate of $0.00 for debt service. The motion carried with Council voting five (5) for and none (0) opposed.
Discussion and possible action to approve a motion to set the tax rate for Maintenance and Operation.
A motion was made by Councilmember Casper with a second by Councilmember Burck to move that property taxes be increased by the adoption of a tax rate of $0.255. The motion carried with Council voting five (5) for and none (0) opposed.
Discussion and possible action to consider the adoption of an ordinance providing for the levy and collection of ad valorem taxes of the City of Hunters Creek Village, Texas for the year 2005 and for each year thereafter until otherwise provided; providing the date on which such taxes shall be due and payable; providing for penalty and interest on all taxes not timely paid; and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith; and providing for severability.
A motion was made by Councilmember Casper with a second by Councilmember Stark to adopt Ordinance No. 651 providing for the levy and collection of ad valorem taxes for year 2005. The motion carried with Council voting five (5) for and none (0) opposed.
ADJOURN OPEN MEETING
A motion was made by Councilmember Burck with a second by Councilmember Cokinos to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
