CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL SESSION AND WORKSHOP AGENDA
Notice is hereby given of a special session and workshop of the City Council of Hunters Creek Village, Texas, to be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Hall at #1 Hunters Creek Place, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.
Call to order and announce a quorum is present.
A. WORK SESSION. A workshop session will be held to discuss the following items that will be considered at the regular meeting on May 16, 2006 or any future meetings. The following items are for discussion purposes only and no formal action will be taken.
1. Presentation by Republic Waste Services on current services.
2. Presentation by CenterPoint Energy regarding a proposed new franchise agreement.
3. Presentation on the City’s participation in the Villages’ Emergency Hurricane Preparedness Meeting to be held on May 25, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial High School Auditorium.
4. Capital Projects Report.
a. Memorial Drive Phase III and IV drainage and paving construction projects.
b. Report on meeting with residents of Three Corners Drive on street width.
c. Progress on Pifer Road construction.
5. Discussion regarding construction regulations in public rights-of-ways.
6. Discussion regarding protocol for resolution of residents’ complaints with City Hall.
7. Discussion to reconsider use of laptop computers for electronic council packets.
8. Discussion regarding requiring specific location for placement of permit on job sites.
9. Discussion of possible Public Works projects for consideration:
a. drainage and street repairs at Hickory Hollow and Cheshire Vale
b. additional street lights in the Inverness subdivision area
c. closing second entrance at Hickory Hollow and I-10 service road for safety reasons
d. purchase of permanent radar unit to install on pole on Voss Road.
B. REGULAR AGENDA
1. Discussion and possible action to consider an ordinance adopting Amendment #3 to fiscal year 2006 budget to transfer funds for contract personnel for public works and allocate funds for surveying and design costs for Memorial Drive Phase IV.
2. Discussion and possible action to consider approval of a proposal with Prejean & Company, Inc. to perform a topographic survey for Memorial Drive Phase IV project.
3. Discussion and possible action to consider construction standards, guidelines, and alternatives for public streets and public rights-of-way.
